Welcome to the Online Knowledge Base for Urban Road User Charging in Europe. You can use this site to enrich your knowledge of the main issues involved in planning and implementing an Urban Road User Charging scheme.

The Online Knowledge Base contains up-to-date information on two separate but inter-related areas

• Information on individual topic areas relevant to Urban Road User Charging
• Information on live Urban Road User Charging schemes in European cities and information on schemes planned but not yet implemented.

This website has been prepared by partners in the CURACAO project (Coordination of Urban RoAd-user ChArging Organisational issues). The CURACAO project is funded by the European Commission and has the aims of coordinating research and monitoring the results of the implementation of road user charging as a demand management tool in urban areas.
